Mozzarella Sticks – Cheesy Snack from Italy

📋 Ingredients (for 8 sticks):

  • 1 block mozzarella cheese (cut into sticks)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

👨‍🍳 Steps to Make:

  1. Cut mozzarella cheese into thick sticks. Freeze for 15–20 minutes.
  2. In 3 bowls:
    • 1 for flour
    • 1 for egg
    • 1 for breadcrumbs (mixed with chili flakes, salt, and oregano)
  3. Coat each stick in flour → then egg → then breadcrumbs.
  4. For extra crispiness, coat again in egg + breadcrumbs.
  5. Freeze for 10 more minutes so cheese doesn’t leak while frying.
  6. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup or garlic mayo! 🧄🍅
