Falafel – Crispy Chickpea Snack from the Middle East

📋 Ingredients (for 10–12 pieces):
- 1 cup dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon flour or chickpea flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Oil for deep frying
👨🍳 Steps to Make:
- Soak dried chickpeas overnight in water. Drain and dry them before use.
- Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, herbs, and spices in a food processor. Blend until it becomes a rough paste.
- Add flour and baking soda. Mix well.
- Make small round balls or flat patties.
- Heat oil and deep fry on medium heat until brown and crispy.
- Drain and serve with tahini, hummus, or in pita bread! 🫓

✅ Don’t use canned chickpeas — they’ll break while frying.
