๐ Ingredients (for 8โ10 samosas):
For the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Water to knead
For the Filling:
- 3 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed) ๐ฅ
- 1/4 cup boiled peas (optional)
- 1 chopped green chili
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Chopped coriander leaves (optional)
Other:
- Oil for deep frying
๐จโ๐ณ Steps to Make:
- Mix flour, salt, and oil. Add water and knead into a firm dough. Cover and rest for 15โ20 mins.
- For filling: Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, then mashed potatoes and spices. Mix well. Let it cool.
- Divide dough into small balls. Roll each into a thin oval. Cut in half.
- Make a cone shape using one half. Fill it with the potato mix. Seal the edges using water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry samosas on medium heat until golden and crispy.
- Drain on paper and serve hot with chutney or ketchup. ๐
